Mary Gallagher is a stand-up comedian, writer and actor. She’s been on several hit TV shows such as Friends, Grey’s Anatomy, NCIS, and How I Met Your Mother.
Mary is taping Comics Unleashed in January of 2026. In 2018, she had her national stand-up television debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and her second TV set of stand-up is on Amazon Prime’s Laugh After Dark. She can be seen on seasons one and two of Prank Encounters, the comedy and horror prank show starring Gaten Matarazzo from Stranger Things.
Mary lives in Los Angeles and loves writing and illustrating children’s books coaching comics. She coaches in person every week in North Hollywood and also coached actor Brett Dier in his role as Archie, a stand-up comic, in the title role of the romantic comedy, “In Spite of Ourselves,” due out in the spring of 2026.
