Lyd Marie is a Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter, percussionist, and producer blending folk, soul, and groove into a style she calls Sade Americana. In captivating live performances, she moves between intimate moments and rhythmic momentum, weaving her West African percussion roots into heartfelt songwriting. With the songwriting chops of Carole King and the emotional range of artists like Feist and Lianne La Havas, her music resonates with depth and clarity.
She’s the co-founder and percussionist of the world-folk band Ley Line and the founder of Tone Shift Collective, a platform uplifting women and gender-expansive artists. Community and collaboration are at the core of her work.
Her sophomore album 4U—a self-produced project shaped by heartbreak, transition, and growth—is set for release in Fall 2025.
