18 years old British-Chinese violinist Leia Zhu has performed in over 20 countries since her debut at the age of 4.

Zhu became the youngest artist to be managed by HarrisonParrott at 12 years old.

Her international performance career since 6 years old includes concerts with orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, Russian State Symphony Orchestra and Zürcher Kammerorchester.

Recent career highlights include performing:

  • with London Symphony Orchestra and Sir Simon Rattle at BMW Classics, London Trafalgar Square at 14
  • with Westlife for a violin solo in ‘You Raise Me Up’ at their WeChat livestream, which amassed 28 million views at 15
  • with Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and Paavo Järvi at 16
  • with Philharmonia Orchestra, opening their regional seasons in Leicester and Canterbury at 17
  • at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall at 17
  • her Wigmore Hall recital debut at 17

Roles Zhu has within the classical music industry include:

BBC Music Magazine Christmas Edition 2021 named Leia as ‘Rising Star’ at 15 years old.

Leia was the youngest musician on Classic FM’s 30 under 30 at 15 years old.

She has recently been shortlisted as Young Artist for the Royal Philharmonic Society Awards 2025.
