Juan is a passionate musician who has always had a close relationship with art.
Since a very young age, Juan would enjoy listening to records alongside his dad when he arrived from work. There was a big scheme of sounds that went from Frank Sinatra, to the latest Latin hit of the time. At the age of 9 Juan would get his first electric Piano and started to explore music with different teachers in his native country, Colombia. At 17 years old Juan started his studies at the Conservatory of Music in Medellin, Colombia. Pursuing his passion for music and Jazz specifically, he moved to Florida to study with incredible mentors such as Richard Drextler, Per Danielsson, Chris Davis and many more. Some of his early musical experiences allowed him ti perform and learn from Jazz masters such as Clarice Assad, Kenny Drew Jr, among others.
He would graduate with a BA on Jazz Performance from the Florida International University under the direction and supervision of Mike Orta; Later on he would join the Berklee College of Music online studies for music production and Sound Design as well as a course in Electronic Music. Juan skills as a pianist and keyboardist have helped him to go around the globe with different artists such as Tony Succar, Sheila E, Danny Ocean, Tito Nieves, Darmon Meader, Ed Calle, Mamblue and many more.Performing different styles.
