Artist: Jessi Lowkey

Who: jessi lowkey

Nu Disco

London-born and now Sydney-based, Jessi Lowkey turned what was meant to be a short gap year before university into a full-blown relocation. A DJ and producer with roots in funk, soul, UKG, house, and Jungle,, Jessi’s sound reflects her upbringing in the UK rave scene and her mission to build a strong female presence behind the decks.

Growing up with raver parents, her Saturday mornings were defined by the sound of the hoover alongside the pounding bass of jungle and DnB from her dad’s speakers — breakbeats have felt like second nature ever since. Jessi’s fast-rising DJ career has seen her share stages with international heavyweights including Luude, DJ Q, Burt Cope, TAIKI NULIGHT and S.P.Y, while establishing herself as an exciting new producer. Her first-ever released track reached number 21 in Beatport’s UKG Top 100 charts within a week, cementing her reputation early on. Her tracks have also been featured on BBC Radio 1Xtra and UKF, with tracks like Jealous Girl gaining recognition.

In addition to her production, Jessi has interviewed legendary artists Carl Cox and Eric Powell for their Mobile Disco event in Sydney, showcasing her versatility and industry insight. Her releases on the renowned UK label Garage Shared blend nostalgic energy with forward-thinking production to craft her signature sound.

On the house side, she’s supported icons such as Belters Only, Cloonee, Biscits, Jackmaster, Gene Farris, Horse Meat Disco, Josh Harrison, Prosumer, Odd Mob, Spiller, Darius Syrossian, Melanie C, Jazzy, Dr Packer, Dave Lee, and Obskur, and has featured on lineups alongside CID, Westend, Elliot Adamson, Alex Preston, Riton, Danny Howard, Harry Romero, Bag Raiders, and Nic Fanciulli.
