Meet Jabberbob, the musical project of Jacob Baron, a jazz pianist who detoured through a Harvard physics PhD and a tech career before realizing neither felt quite right. Taking a leap, he quit his job without a specific plan, simply intending to give himself space. Unexpectedly, songs began to emerge—honest explorations of self-doubt, relationships, and finding confidence. This period of trusting the process, rather than forcing productivity, culminated in his debut EP, aptly titled “I Don’t Have to Do Anything.” The EP embodies this core idea: that meaning and creativity often arise when we allow ourselves to follow what feels important, rather than just what’s expected. Blending jazz, funk, and pop with lyrical wit, Jabberbob turns personal reflections into relatable, danceable tunes.
