Florian Hamela is an Austrian guitarist known for his expressive instrumental compositions that blend elements of melodic rock, progressive rock, and math rock.
His solo career began in March 2021 with the release of his debut single, “The Journey,” which marked the start of his exploration into his musical identity. This was followed by his debut album, ECHOES , released on January 20, 2023, featuring a collection of instrumental tracks that showcase his melodic and dynamic guitar work. In January 2025, he released the single “I’m Awake ,” described as a powerful instrumental rock piece characterized by strong guitar riffs and driving rhythms .
Hamela has also been active in various musical projects and bands, including the progressive metal band Storms of Æolus, and has performed with acts such as Cornerstone, Type Six , and The A.C.T. In April 2025, he served as the opening act for renowned guitarist Neil Zaza , further establishing his presence in the instrumental rock scene .
