Felicity Urquhart has been a vibrant thread in the Australian Country Music tapestry now for over three decades. Since 1992 she has released 11 studio albums including the two most recent with music and life partner, Josh Cunningham; and two as part of supergroup ‘Bennett, Bowtell and Urquhart.’ Felicity has been honoured with numerous awards including 16 CMAA Golden Guitar Awards, 3 ARIA nominations, and a Centenary Medal in 2001 “For service to Australian society through country music” from Prime Minister John Howard. Throughout her career Felicity has performed extensively across Australia, including countless appearances at large-scale Country and Folk music festivals, and a performance for a US President and the Pope. Felicity has shared the bill with acts as diverse as Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Sheryl Crow, Don Williams, Rodney Crowell, Don McLean; and most recently toured with Aussie legends The Whitlams Black Stump Band. Felicity has also performed as a long-time member of Western Swing group, The Spin Drifters.

Along with her music success, Felicity has captivated audiences with her personality and presenting skills on television as seen on Sydney Weekender and ABC’s Back Roads. She received international recognition for her work as the beloved host of ABC Radio’s ‘Saturday Night Country’ (2010-2020), earning the prestigious ‘International Country Broadcaster’ award from the Country Music Association (CMA) in Nashville, TN.

In 2020 Felicity was invited to join the ‘Song Club’ – a creative collective that tasked members with writing one song per week to a prompt. Josh Cunningham (Australian multi-ARIA winner, acclaimed guitarist and singer songwriter from ‘The Waifs’) was a fellow member of the club, and after striking up a connection the two began writing together. One year later, the duo released their stunningly beautiful debut album, The Song Club, which entered the ARIA Country Album Charts at #1 and was nominated for 4 Golden Guitars and an ARIA.

The duo released their highly anticipated second album, Birdsong, in 2023 earning the title, “Australia’s first couple of folk-country,” (Phil Stafford, The Australian). Their coinciding national Birdsong Tour delighted fans across all eight Australian states and territories, with 16 sold-out shows and numerous festival appearances.

In 2024 the duo swept the 52nd CMAA Golden Guitar Awards with Birdsong in both nominations and top category wins, taking home Traditional Country Album of the Year, plus Song of the Year and Single of the Year for album track, “Size Up.”

Felicity and Josh are currently writing together in preparation for their third studio album.
