Who: Dr. Draw
Classical
Dr. Draw is an electric violinist who transforms every stage into an unforgettable experience.
Beginning as a street performer in his teens on the streets of Toronto, he soon wandered into the
city’s electronic music scene and became the first Canadian violinist to bring the instrument into
nightclubs and electronic culture. Over time his artistry expanded beyond clubs into major
festivals, concert halls, and international cultural showcases, where his explosive fusion of
classical, rock, electronic, and world sounds continues to captivate audiences.
His global journey includes featured performances at the Colombo Biennale in 2012 and 2014,
the Galle Literary Festival, and the Sovereign Art Foundation’s Art Fund in Hong Kong. In 2010 he
proudly represented Canada at the World Expo in Shanghai, followed by other landmark
moments such as the opening of the Westfield World Trade Center 9/11 Memorial in New York
and cultural showcases in Washington, DC. He has also performed at numerous Toronto
International Film Festival events and at high-profile launches for luxury brands including Louis
Vuitton, Mercedes in Beijing, and many others.
Dr. Draw has shared stages with John Legend, Mariah Carey, Shaggy, 2Cellos, Drake, Seal, and
Cyndi Lauper, and brought his electrifying violin to major events such as the Montreal Grand Prix
and the Toronto Raptors’ legendary 2019 Game 7 halftime show, the victory that propelled the
team into the Finals on their way to their first NBA Championship.
With eight albums released and collaborative projects like Tokka and Nemesis, Dr. Draw
continues to push the boundaries of the electric violin, delivering transformative performances
that cross borders and leave audiences spellbound.
