Who: David Woodbury Bowman

David Bowman is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with a background in Irish Traditional Music. He has been part of the greater-Boston Irish music scene for over fifteen years, performing at numerous venues, sessions, festivals, and private events, most notably as a longtime member of the band Boxty. David has opened for internationally known acts including Solas, the Wolfe Tones, and the High Kings, while his tin whistle and tenor banjo can be heard on the soundtrack of the Hulu series ‘Castle Rock’. As a songwriter, David’s original music draws on American country, folk, and blues traditions. He released his debut EP of original songs, ‘A Song Worth Singing,’ in 2019, and has since released 8 singles. Originally hailing from Martha’s Vineyard Island, David now resides just off Cape Cod with his wife, Erica, and their dog Cash.
