Colby Jeffers is a Phoenix-based changemaker rapper and educator known for creating socially conscious and spiritually focused hip hop that advocates for love, unity, justice, and service to humanity.
Background and Mission Colby’s primary mission is to use music to uplift, educate, and inspire people to contribute to the betterment of the world. His work is deeply inspired by the Baha’i Faith, with themes of the oneness of God and religion, unity, justice, and nobility.
Personal Life: He is a devoted husband and a full-time father of three children.
Community Involvement: Beyond his music, he is passionate about community building and youth empowerment. He has served as a mentor through the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program and regularly facilitates rap writing workshops for young people as a teaching artist, including at juvenile detention centers.
Career and Achievements Jeffers began experimenting with rap in his early twenties and released his debut song, Change the World, in 2012 after a volunteer trip to Cameroon. He has since released a collection of eight albums, Change The World, Wizdome, LIT, Release The Power, Created Noble, Holy Days, Be Happy, and I Hope I Do It Justice.
Awards: In 2020, the City of Phoenix recognized his dedication to art and community service with the prestigious Martin Luther King “Living The Dream” award.
“Better World” Concert Series: He launched the “Better World” concert series, which combines a performance with a facilitated discussion aimed at inspiring positive change. He has hosted over 80 of these concerts, touring throughout the U.S. and internationally.
