Brides is the rockinest, rollinest band on any planet - a blend of math rock, shoegaze and psychedelia, the 4 piece’s high energy performance has seen them play some of the biggest independent venues in Liverpool. The band are soon to release their debut EP, and with gigs booking in Manchester, London and Scotland, are set to present their unbridled-bridal sound to the masses
Brides was formed in 2024 by Joe Royal and Alex Hayes while neighbours in Anfield. After hearing a few early songs the two had written, Cosa Connah and James Parker both joined the band. Inspired by acts like My Bloody Valentine, Car Seat Headrest, Radiohead and The Wiggles, the four spent the year writing and arranging the songs, before playing their first show to a near sold out venue in January 2025.
After 6 months of performing , the band was able to record their first EP, “Leche”. The six songs on the record explore themes of alienation and absurdity in the face of dread, through interwoven guitar lines, breakneck drums and a lot of noise. Due for release on 5th September 2025 this project will certainly put Brides on the music map.
