Boxcar Radio is an alternative country/southern rock band that is all americana. Lead singer/songwriter Rodney Bond writes songs that combine the traditional stylings of Gram Parsons with a modern homage to bands like Wilco and Son Volt. Rod’s songs mix stories of forlorn unrequited love with classic depictions of american life. Bassist Jeff Hall lays down solid lines that serve the song and provides the harmonies that make up Boxcar Radio’s signature sound. Guitarist Mark Evers provides the coloring with understated riffs that straddle the line between rock and country.. Drummer Don Olsen keeps the train on the tracks with a variety of styles that complete the band’s ever evolving sound.
