Who: Boletaire
Barcelona-based post-punk power trio formed in a 2023 , strongly influenced by the American
indie-rock of the 90s and British post-punk.They synthesize in guitar,bass and drums the power of distortion of past decades with beautiful melodies and lyrics that deal with a poetic and intentionally confused nihilism, setting an atmosphere that sometimes reminds the listener of calmer moments of Sonic Youth with Pavement’s sarcasm, boosted by the dissonant blast of bands like Fugazi, Dinosaur Jr and Husker Du. This project goes by the name “Boletaire,” a truly unique Catalan word that you won’t find in many languages. It captures the essence of our daily pursuit for fresh sounds and abstract inspirations in today’s world. It’s all about embracing the quest for sonic novelties and seeking out those elusive sparks of creativity that keep us going.
