BBC Radio 1 supported, queer Greek-British artist producer, singer and visual artist Aphty Khéa, blends driving beats and memorable melodies, that journey from warm harmonies, to distorted and aggressive tongue-in-cheek shouting. Their top-lines are performed in English and Greek, and their productions explore the world of electronica, UK rave culture & electropunk/electroclash. Lyrically, Aphty Khéa touches on social commentary, gender identity/queerness, and existentialism. With a musical background that spans choir from the age of six, studying classical singing and piano at school, winning junior Eurovision TV Song Contest in Greece as a child, moving to London at 18 to study a BA in songwriting at ICMP; session playing for Jordan Rakei and Rachel Chinouriri, to finally find themselves between Berlin and London, community organising and making thought provoking music.
