Who: Amor Líquido
Amor Líquido borders on the defiant extreme within pop: they are the champion of art-punk in Spanish, the most outspoken generational band in their scene and the one with the freshest and most visceral message. Sara (vocals), Eva (drums, backing vocals), Peral (guitar, backing vocals) and Gaby (bass) don’t mince words: they have turned Z’s problems into their own biographical and even tender discourse.
With an eponymous first album under their arm, the band represents their band through honesty, rawness and a call to action. Their sarcasm and freshness that makes them unique and they become the Hispanic ensign of the most critical English-speaking avant-punk. “Amor Líquido” is an autobiographical and assembly debut, where endemic anxiety and generational boredom are fought through tenderness. An uncomplicated work in which they claim that loving yourself is revolutionary.
