Erratic, high-energy and relentless: “When The Light Goes Out Inside” is Aleya’s first 2024 release, picking up immediate radioplay from BBC Radio One. Featuring Luke Hill of Bloodstock-alumni Overthrone, this is Aleya’s first major release since the 2023 debut EP “Idle Minds”.
Based in Manchester, UK, Aleya’s sound is a combination of aggressive and technical verses, poppy choruses, groove based breakdowns and fast paced lead guitar work. With influences ranging from ERRA, While She Sleeps & Beartooth, all the way over to State Champs, Avenged Sevenfold and blackbear - Aleya have cemented their own unique approach to the underground metal scene that has taken them to festivals, packed out headline shows, and global airplay.
In May 2023, Aleya released their debut EP: Idle Minds, containing the title track which received BBC Radio One airplay, as well as the tracks Deceive, The Contortionist, and standout lead single Charlatan.
With early support from Kerrang!, Aleya have been playing their way through the underground scene and are making a name for themselves for their high energy performances, earworm choruses, and their signature combination of nu-metal, metalcore and deathcore.
