Klezmer is een Jiddisj woord dat letterlijk ‘muziekinstrumenten’ betekent. Klezmer is de soundtrack van het menselijk leven; alle hoogtepunten en dieptepunten komen voorbij. Klezmer kan groots, wild en feestelijk zijn. Maar klezmer kan ook klein, lieflijk en melancholisch zijn. Het is muziek vol contrasten, die geen moment verveelt.
Wij spelen oude en nieuwe klezmerstukken en maken soms een uitstapje naar andere genres in de volksmuziek. Wij spelen alles in onze eigen stijl, met eerbied voor de klezmertraditie, die eeuwenlang is gevoed door muziek uit andere culturen.
