Nxt Museum is hosting a live ambient piano concert by S. Salter in one of the large-scale installations created for our current exhibition Still Processing. S. Salter will perform a mixture of existing tracks, new creations and live experimentations, while simultaneously playing audio-reactive live visuals using Boris Ackets’ installation Duration.
Using a blend of intricate piano compositions, poised production elements, and carefully placed field recordings, S. Salter crafts immersive narratives steeped in nostalgia. This collaborative project combines the talents of Amsterdam-based British artist Samuel Ruddick and Berlin-based Swiss artist Jeremia Reichen. Their debut album “Juun,” released in March 2023 after three years in the making, marks a compelling introduction to their sonic world. Since then, S. Salter has released a series of singles, including a notable contribution to the official Piano Day 2023 compilation album, along with a captivating live EP.
Renowned for their mesmerising live performances, S. Salter has earned acclaim with sold-out shows at prestigious new media institutions in Amsterdam and Berlin. Throughout 2024, they continue to enchant audiences across Europe with their unique blend of soundscapes and storytelling.
