Carsten Lindholm is a Danish jazz drummer from the small town Kerteminde on the island Funen.
With roots firmly planted in the Danish soil and with a love for the Nordic jazz genre and the Indian rhythm system konnakol, Carsten invites the audience into a universe - where they can forget time and place, for a while. The focus is on the melody and audience - the expression dynamic.
Carstens first album Tribute 2011 received great reviews and recognition worldwide. After 2nd album Indispiration, he formed the Carsten Lindholm trio - and has since then toured Scandinavia and Europe in different trio constellations.
Said about Carsten Lindholm Trio:
“In the end, the entire trio deserves a standing ovation for an extraordinary performance that demonstrated that the possibilities in jazz are endless. Carsten Lindholm and his fellow musicians have proven time and time again that these possibilities, when presented in such an original way and by such versatile artists, always lead to wonderful results” Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung, Peter Wiest 2022
You might have heard Carsten Lindholm Trio at Elbjazz, Doubletime (DE), Festival Boreales (FR) or Jazzhus Montmartre (DK). Or experienced him with the trio Hoff Somsen Lindholm at Bodø Jazzfestival (NO), Jazz Equinoxe (IT) etc.

Press & quotes: All three musicians are equal in the musical process and contribute in the same measures with improvisations and compositions. It is all about communication – the art of listening and reacting and so forcing each other deeper into the essence of the performed tune. This new jazz trio is a welcome addition to an already rich European jazz scene and will soon find followers around the globe. After hearing their debut album, I can already say: I am a fan! Wulf Müller (AT) – former Vicepresident Universal Music Group, Classics and Jazz
